Treatment Itinerary for a 7-Day Seoul Trip from Hongdae

A 7-day Seoul trip gives enough time for consultation, treatment and a short recovery window. At Re:berry Hongdae, a common approach is to consult on day one or two, schedule injections and treatments with more downtime early, and keep the final two days for zero-downtime care, a follow-up check and sightseeing before your flight.

Re:berry Clinic Hongdae

Why a week works well

A week in Seoul gives you something short trips do not: time for your skin to settle before you fly home. That means you can consider treatments with a day or two of bumps or swelling, see how your skin responds, and still have a buffer for a follow-up question. Hongdae is a practical base because Hongik University Station connects directly to Incheon and Gimpo airports by AREX, and to much of central Seoul by Line 2.

This itinerary is a planning template, not a prescription. Every plan at Re:berry starts with a doctor's consultation, and treatments are only confirmed once your skin has been assessed.

Before you travel

  • Book a consultation slot early through our Booking page, and mention your travel dates.
  • Send clear photos and your main concerns in advance if requested.
  • Avoid starting new strong skincare, retinoids or tanning in the week before your trip.
  • Check booking from abroad for practical tips.

A sample 7-day plan

Day 1: Arrive and rest

From Incheon Airport, the AREX all-stop train reaches Hongik University Station in roughly 50 to 60 minutes. Check in, hydrate and get some sleep. If you arrive early and feel fresh, a consultation on day one is possible, but many people prefer to start fresh the next morning.

Day 2: Consultation and first treatments

Meet the doctor, review your concerns and receive a written plan with pricing confirmed. If you agree, the first treatments may be done the same day. This is a good day for treatments that need the most settling time, such as fillers, skin boosters like Rejuran Healer, or thread lifting where appropriate.

Day 3: Second treatment block or rest

Some plans spread treatments over two days to limit swelling or to separate devices from injections. Otherwise, take a gentle day: a walk on the Gyeongui Line Forest Park, cafes in Yeonnam-dong, or indoor museums.

Day 4: Sightseeing

Explore central Seoul. Wear sunscreen and a hat, and keep away from saunas and jjimjilbang if you have had lasers or injections.

Day 5: Lifting or laser, if planned

Energy-based lifting such as Ultherapy Prime or Thermage FLX usually has little visible downtime, so it can sit mid-trip. Light toning lasers also fit here if your doctor recommends them.

Day 6: Zero-downtime care and follow-up

A HydraFacial or similar treatment can freshen skin before you leave. Ask whether a quick follow-up check is advisable, especially after filler or threads.

Day 7: Depart

Avoid new treatments on departure day. From Hongik University Station, AREX takes you to Incheon or Gimpo Airport. Pack your aftercare products and written instructions in your carry-on.

Where to stay and how to get around

Staying in or near Hongdae keeps clinic visits short, which matters on treatment days when you may prefer to rest rather than cross the city. Hongik University Station gives you Line 2 for Sinchon, City Hall and Gangnam, AREX for Seoul Station and both airports, and the Gyeongui–Jungang Line for routes east and west. Neighborhoods such as Yeonnam-dong, Sangsu and Hapjeong offer quieter streets for recovery days. See Hongdae hotels and guesthouses for ideas.

What to pack for a treatment trip

  • Gentle cleanser, simple moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen
  • A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses
  • A list of your medications, supplements and past treatments
  • A soft cap or scarf if you prefer to cover your face after injections

How to order treatments

A few general principles help:

  • Most downtime first: Injections and threads early so swelling and bruising can settle.
  • Devices and injections: Your doctor may separate or sequence them, as some devices are best done before fillers or boosters.
  • Least downtime last: Facials and light treatments near the end.
  • Buffer before the flight: At least 24 to 48 hours after injections, longer if possible.

Our downtime planner lists typical recovery for each treatment.

Sample combinations by goal

  • Firmness and lift: Consultation, then energy-based lifting, plus a skin booster earlier in the week.
  • Glow and texture: Booster on day two, HydraFacial on day six.
  • Contour: Jaw Botox or contour treatments early; note that slimming effects take weeks to show, often after you are home.
  • Pigment: One toning session plus home-care guidance; pigment usually needs repeated sessions over months.

Flying home

Most people can fly comfortably after common skin treatments, but cabin air is dry and pressure changes may increase swelling slightly. Drink water, avoid alcohol on the flight, and keep skin moisturized. Read flying after skin treatments for treatment-specific advice.

Money and paperwork

Korea's government VAT refund for foreign patients' cosmetic and dermatology procedures ended on 31 December 2025, so do not budget for a refund on treatments. Retail tax-free shopping refunds still exist for eligible goods. Pricing is confirmed in writing at consultation, and you can ask for receipts and treatment records. See paying at the clinic.

Follow-up after you go home

Ask for written aftercare instructions and a way to contact the clinic with questions. Some results, such as collagen remodeling or jaw slimming, develop weeks later, so take photos in consistent lighting to track change. If you return to Seoul, the Re:berry network applies the same standards at each branch. Results vary by individual.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get everything done on one day?

Sometimes, but it is not always ideal. Combining many treatments in one session can increase swelling and makes it harder to tell how your skin reacts to each. On a seven-day trip, the doctor may spread treatments across two days. The plan depends on your skin, goals and comfort.

How soon before my flight should I stop treatments?

As a general guide, finish injections such as filler, boosters or threads at least two to three days before flying, and avoid new treatments on departure day. Zero-downtime facials can be closer to the flight. Your doctor will advise based on what you actually have done.

Will I see final results before I leave?

Not always. Some treatments, like HydraFacial, show results immediately, but many take longer. Botox typically takes one to two weeks, collagen-stimulating devices two to six months, and jaw slimming several weeks. Plan to assess final results at home and keep photos for comparison.

Do I need travel insurance for treatments?

Standard travel insurance often excludes elective cosmetic procedures and their complications, so check your policy carefully. Some travelers buy specialized cover. Either way, keep your treatment records and the clinic's contact details, and ask your doctor what to do if you have concerns after returning home.
