Q&A
How Long Do Rejuran Bumps Last?

The small raised bumps after Rejuran Healer usually flatten within a few hours to one or two days, as the polynucleotide solution is absorbed into the skin. Mild redness or pinpoint bruising may take a few days longer. At Re:berry Hongdae many patients plan Rejuran at least two to three days before important events.

Why does Rejuran cause bumps?

Rejuran Healer is a skin booster made of polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA. It is injected into the dermis in many small deposits, often in a grid across the face. Each deposit creates a tiny raised bump, similar to a small mosquito bite, until the product spreads and is absorbed. The bumps are a normal and expected part of the treatment. Learn more on our Rejuran Healer page.

What affects how long bumps last?

  • Technique: hand injections usually create more visible bumps than some device-assisted methods.
  • Amount and depth: larger or shallower deposits may take longer to settle.
  • Skin type: thin or sensitive skin may show bumps and redness longer.
  • Area: under-eye treatments can swell slightly more.
  • Aftercare: rubbing, heat and alcohol can prolong swelling.

How can I help the bumps settle?

  • Avoid touching, pressing or massaging the area on the treatment day.
  • Skip saunas, hot baths and intense exercise for about 24 hours.
  • Limit alcohol on the day of treatment.
  • Use gentle, soothing skincare and sunscreen.
  • Sleep with your head slightly raised if swelling is noticeable.

What does a typical recovery timeline look like?

  • First hours: visible bumps and mild redness across the treated grid.
  • Next morning: most bumps flattened; slight texture may remain.
  • Days 2–3: skin usually looks normal, apart from any bruises.
  • Days 3–7: occasional bruises fade; skin often looks more hydrated.

Everyone heals a little differently, so treat these as typical ranges rather than promises.

When should I be concerned?

Contact the clinic if bumps become increasingly painful, hot, red or hard after several days, or if you notice lumps that persist beyond a week, as these are uncommon and should be checked. Pricing depends on area and plan and is confirmed in writing at consultation. Find the Hongdae branch on our Location & Hours page.

Related questions

Can I wear makeup over Rejuran bumps?

Many clinics suggest waiting until the next day before applying makeup, so injection points can close. If you must cover redness sooner, use clean tools and a light mineral product. Avoid heavy foundation that requires rubbing, and check your doctor's specific instructions after treatment.

Are Rejuran bumps worse under the eyes?

The under-eye area has thin, delicate skin, so swelling and visible bumps can sometimes last slightly longer there. Specialized under-eye formulations and careful technique are used to reduce this. Allow a few extra days before events if you are having under-eye treatment.

Does Rejuran leave marks if I am on a short trip?

Bumps usually settle within a day or two, so Rejuran can fit many short trips if scheduled early. Bruises, if they occur, may take longer to fade. Mention your flight date when booking so the doctor can choose a technique and timing that suits your schedule.
